BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER for East Europe
Job Scope: The Business Development Manager position has the overall responsibility for identifying and developing the business opportunities of our Company in Bulgaria and will be the first Company’s representative in Bulgaria/Sofia.
He/she fundamentally drives the business relationship between the Company and the customer through his/her technical expertise, selling ability and communication skills. This will be achieved only through an intimate knowledge of the marketplace, our services, our customers and our competition.
Key responsibilities
- Identify and develop early business opportunities and relations for the Company in Bulgaria.
- Prepares the Business Development Plan, as well as prepares the annual Work Plan.
- Develop and implement strategies for the Company’s products and services.
- Discover the possible interesting Clients and volume of the work on the local market.
- Discover and identify the opportunities by analyzing business needs.
- Provide direction, guidance to the Company to ensure alignment with the Company’s strategies within the Regional European Area.
- Act as a leader, providing focus and direction in order to grow and develop all sales business within the area. This will include: communication, knowledge about governmental agencies acting in the oil & gas area, knowledge of the present status of the oil & gas business on the Bulgarian market.
- Generate business and increase revenues through developing sales relationships with identified customers.
- Gain intelligence on client’s future activities and identify markets for Company’s services.
- Ensure client feedback is recorded and circulated and acted upon when necessary.
- Capability to act as an Office Manager for the Bulgarian Branch of the Company ,in case the business opportunities requests to increase the office activity;organize and supervise all of the administrative activities that facilitate the smooth running of an office.
- Perform duties according to the documented Quality Policy and comply with all requirements of the Quality Systems Manual.
- To adhere to established Company work ethics and policies at all times when dealing with our customers.
- Travel as necessary.
- Organize the technical translations.
- Attend industry events as required.
- Perform various other duties assigned by the regional Black Sea Manager.
- The person would report primarily to the Area Business Development Manager and liaises with the Operation Team
Profile
- Technical Qualified –Petroleum degree.
- Experience in an “up-stream” company with proven competency in Sales, Marketing and Business Development.
- Multinational experience.
- Good communication (written, listening and verbal), good interpersonal skills, coaching skills, ability to persuade and influence to achieve results.
- The ability to communicate with and gain respect at all levels.
- Proven leadership and negotiating skills.
- An understanding of the business economics within the oil industry and the ability to think strategically.
- English language is a must. Able to understand technical translation.
- Able to work independently.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks.
- Client interaction skills –negotiation techniques.
